A new electric vehicle option is entering the Indian market. One Electric is releasing the KRIDEN, a motorcycle boasting a top speed of 90 km/h and a practical 110 km range in real-world conditions. This electric bike offers tangible benefits for daily riders.
Design
The Kridn features a streamlined aesthetic. It has angular lines, an LED headlight, and a digital display showing speed, battery status, and remaining range. Its design balances commuting functionality with sporty visual appeal. A comfortable seat, well-positioned handlebars, and strategically placed footpegs ensure comfortable long rides. Available colors include black, red, and a practical matte grey that hides dirt effectively.
Features
This electric bike provides three riding modes: Eco, City, and Sport. Eco mode maximizes efficiency in urban environments, while Sport mode quickly achieves the 90 km/h top speed. Regenerative braking recovers energy during deceleration. A USB port allows for mobile device charging, reverse mode assists with parking in tight spaces, and tubeless tires minimize the risk of punctures. A dedicated mobile app enables remote locking, battery monitoring, and geofencing capabilities.
Price
One Electric has announced that the Kridn will have a starting price of ₹1.35 lakh ex-showroom
Mileage
The manufacturer asserts that the bike can achieve this range under normal usage conditions, combining both urban and highway scenarios. This is sufficient for a week’s worth of commuting. Charging at home takes approximately 4-5 hours with the provided charger, while fast chargers can recharge up to 80% battery capacity in about 90 minutes. With electricity costs at ₹1.5 per km (home charging), it offers a cheaper running cost in comparison to petrol-based vehicles which are ₹5-6 per km.
